Thais Menezes (pronounced: “Thai-ees” “Men-eh-zees”) brings a calm and client-focused approach to Oakley Family Law.

Her legal journey has taken her from serving as a lawyer and Judicial Clerk at the Superior Court of Justice in Brazil, to completing her Masters Degree in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, to practicing family and estate law in Toronto before relocating to Calgary.

Her clients value her attention to detail, thoughtful problem-solving, and the reassurance she provides during times of change. She takes the time to listen, explain options, and guide families through issues such as parenting, support, and property division with care and respect.

Fluent in both English and Portuguese, Thais is committed to breaking down language barriers in the legal system and ensuring families can access advice and advocacy in the language they are most comfortable with. She is passionate about serving newcomers to Canada, helping them understand their rights and navigate their family law matters with clarity and confidence as they build their lives here.

When she’s not in the office, Thais enjoys connecting with Calgary’s community, exploring her new home in Alberta, and keeping close ties to her Brazilian roots.
