Fatima Zulfiqar joins Oakley Family Law as an articling student, bringing a wealth of experience after being a legal assistant with our office since 2023. In 2002, Fatima immigrated with her family to Canada. She is a proud graduate of Mount Royal University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Policy Studies and a minor in Sociology. Her academic journey continued at the University of Southampton’s law school where she earned her LLB/JD. She completed her National Committee of Accreditation Qualification through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada to become eligible to practice law in Canada in 2025.

Throughout her career, Fatima has received recognition for her academic achievements, including being on the Dean’s List at Mount Royal University and receiving the Jason Lang Scholarship for her academic achievements. Prior to joining Oakley Family Law, Fatima was a legislative researcher for the Alberta government.
