Support Team
- About You: You’ve been a family law legal assistant in Alberta for at least 2-3 years (this role isn’t a fit for NCA or articling students). We’re happy to provide guidance and mentorship, but we need someone who can hit the ground running. You’re a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent organization and time management skills. You’ll be drafting, filing, answering phones, providing client care, and generally keeping our busy lawyers organized and sane. You may need to get down to the Courthouse on occasion, so a driver’s license and reliable vehicle is preferred. You need to be comfortable juggling deadlines and be able to navigate Microsoft Office, Clio, and Adobe like a pro. Bonus points if you’re a dog lover (our Director of Barketing wants to meet you).
- Location of work: In-office. We are seeing an increasing return to in-person appointments, and we have a team that likes to work together in-office.
- Compensation: Competitive wage based on experience. Also included: health benefits; free parking; and all the stats (plus Easter Monday, Stampede Parade Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Remembrance Day), winter court closure (usually 2 weeks-ish), sick days, personal days, and your birthday off with pay.
- About Oakley Family Law: Founded in 2016, we’ve built a firm that’s high on strategy and low on drama. Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and a little bit quirky (in the best way). We believe that family law is stressful enough, your office environment shouldn’t be.
