Melissa Barker joined Oakley Family Law in September 2019, bringing over five years of office and customer service experience to the team. With a passion for organization, problem-solving, and client care, Melissa quickly became a valued member of the firm.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary in 2014 and completed her Legal Assistant Diploma in May 2020. Always seeking ways to enhance her skill set and better serve clients, she became a Certified Legal Coach through the Legal Coaches Association in 2023. This certification allows her to independently empower clients with the tools and information they need to navigate the complexities of family law. 

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys drawing, spending quality time with family and friends, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and staying active at the gym. 

Melissa is committed to providing clients with compassionate and efficient support throughout their legal journeys. Her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach ensure that every case receives the care and precision it deserves.
